The Independent Advisory Council for Continental Youth under the AfCFTA (ICOYACA) is an initiative that aims to promote the active participation of African youth in the discussions and implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA).
The primary objective of this organization is to ensure that the voices and concerns of young people are heard and are taken into account in policies and strategies related to the implementation of the AfCFTA.
It is in these ideals that the Youth Workshop, focused on Illicit Trade, Trafficking and its impact on the AfCFTA, for peace and security in Southern Africa, took place in South 🇿🇦 Africa.
It was a moment of great interaction and reflection, with more than 50 young people from different countries in the region, where they were able to understand the common challenges, but above all the concern to contribute to the identification of solutions for the economic growth of the member countries.
The ICOYACA Angola was represented by the Deputy Director, Marília Damião.
